Hampden Bank Strengthens Leadership Team with Chief Banking Officer and COO Appointments
Hampden Bank has appointed two new senior executives to its leadership team reporting to CEO, Tracey Davidson.
Greig Townsend joins as CBO to lead the Bank’s growth strategy. With more than two decades in private banking, wealth management and financial leadership roles, he will lead banking teams across the UK to serve the needs of clients and to deliver business growth through the acquisition of new clients.
David Huntley takes over as Board Chair
David Huntley has officially started in his new role as Chair of the Hampden Bank Board. He succeeds outgoing Chair, Simon Miller, who announced his retirement after five years in the role. David joined the Board in October 2020 as Non-Executive Director and he previously served as Chair of the Risk Committee.
Hampden Bank appoints Colin McGill as Head of Credit
Colin McGill, former District Head for Handelsbanken in Scotland and Cumbria, has joined Hampden Bank as Head of Credit. In this role, Colin will oversee the bank’s loan offering with responsibility for the review and approval of large or complex borrowing requests, for the performance of the loan portfolio and for managing the bank’s credit risk exposure.
Haydn Aird appointed new Head of Banking to lead Manchester office
Hampden Bank has hired Haydn Aird from Handelsbanken to the new role of Head of Banking, North & Midlands. Haydn will build and lead a team based in Manchester.
Hampden Bank reports strong financial results for 2024 and growth plans for 2025
In our annual results for 2024, both deposits and lending grew by double-digits while the number of clients reached 6,000, supported by introductions from clients and professional advisers.
Hampden Bank chair Simon Miller to retire from the board
Simon Miller has announced that he will retire from the board of Hampden Bank in August 2025. Having previously helped to found the bank in 2010, Simon was appointed chair in May 2020.
Introducing Hampden Bank and our new Edinburgh office
